1. How to Install the Standalone Android APK
Clean Days v1.0.0 is packaged as a standalone Android application (`.apk`) verified by Expo EAS Cloud Build pipelines. Follow these 3 simple steps to install it on your Android phone or tablet:
Step 1: Download the Verified APK
Open our direct EAS build page in your phone's browser or click below:
Download Standalone APK (v1.0.0)If Android displays a prompt stating "File might be harmful", tap "Download anyway". This is standard Android security notice for files downloaded outside Google Play.
Step 2: Allow Installation from Your Browser
Open your phone's Notification panel or Downloads folder, and tap the downloaded APK file.
If Android prompts: "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source", tap Settings and toggle on "Allow from this source".
Step 3: Complete Installation
Return to the install prompt and tap "Install". Once completed, tap "Open" to launch Clean Days and configure your recovery date!
2. Backup & Recovery Data Export
Because all your data lives exclusively on your phone, we encourage you to create a periodic backup of your recovery milestones:
- Open Clean Days on your device.
- Tap the Settings icon in the top header.
- Scroll to Data Sovereignty & Backup and tap Export Recovery Data.
- The app generates an offline
clean_days_backup.jsonfile and displays your device's native share sheet. - Save this file to Google Drive, your local Documents folder, or send it to your personal email.
3. Troubleshooting & Common Issues
A. Daily Reflection Notifications Not Appearing
On aggressive battery-saving devices (such as Xiaomi, Samsung, or Huawei), background notifications can occasionally be suspended:
- Open your phone's Settings > Apps > Clean Days > Notifications and ensure notifications are enabled.
- Under Battery Usage, select Unrestricted or No Restrictions so morning reflections fire on time.
B. Virtual Meeting Zoom Rooms Not Launching
When you tap "Join Meeting", Clean Days launches the deep-linked Zoom room. Ensure the official Zoom Workplace app is installed on your Android device from the Play Store. If not installed, Android will open the meeting URL inside your default web browser.
C. Home Screen Widget Not Updating at Midnight
Clean Days widgets update automatically whenever the app is opened or when the device clock passes midnight. If your widget appears frozen, simply tap it once to sync with the main application counter.
